Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr Speaks On Young Players After Atletico Madrid Beat Nigeria 3 – 2

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, said he has taken notice of some of the players that performed well in the 3-2 loss to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Rohr said this when he addressed reporters during the Super Eagles first workout on grass on Wednesday.
He also said that he might have to do some training routine for some set of players who are returning from injury or did not get enough playing time at their respective clubs this past season.
These players include Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City), Tyronne Ebuehi (ADO Den Haag), Leon Balogun (Mainz) and Joel Obi (Torino).
The German coach said he was “really impressed with the turnout at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium for Tuesday evening’s friendly against Atletico Madrid” and praised the Uyo fans, saying he “didn’t expect the support from the fans.”
When asked if he would consider some players that impressed against the La Liga outfit in future national team matches, Rohr said he has “taken notice of the very young talents in the Super Eagles B team.”
Rohr also noted that Tuesday evening was the first time he was in Uyo and wasn’t on the bench performing coaching duties.
